Composite: Most of the national manufacturers provide
a limited warranty , fully transferable, against material defects. This
warranty covers splitting, splintering, checking, rot, decay, and termite
damage. You should review the warranty period with your
Conyers Construction representative.
Workmanship: Conyers Construction provides a two year
warranty on workmanship.
Conyers Construction accepts all major credit cards.
We will provide an expected start date. As this date
is subject to weather conditions and other factors beyond our control,
we strive to keep our customers aware of changes to our timelines.
What are my local building codes? Specific
building codes vary from region to region. Building codes
may be specific on some aspects and general on other items. Conyers
Construction follows sound construction principles and may even
be more detailed and demanding than your local codes. At
a minimum all construction will be done in accordance with your
local building codes.
Who applies for the building permits? Conyers
Construction will obtain all required permits.
Who handles issues with zoning issues? The
homeowner will deal with these issues. Conyers Construction
will provide any assistance needed. For example, the
construction may require that the home owner keep a specific
distance form adjacent property lines. The homeowner
must apply for the “variance.”
Conyers Construction will work with the homeowner in resolving
any issues.
What inspections will occur during the construction? The
local authority determines the need for different inspections. Conyers
Construction will schedule the required inspections.
Who handles subdivision approval? If required, not all
subdivisions require pre-construction approval. The homeowners should
check with the subdivision committee. Conyers Construction will provide detailed
drawings to the homeowner.and, if needed, accompany the home owner to aid in
securing approval.
What will occur with my property taxes? The new construction
will certainly increase the value of your home. A building permit may
trigger an reassessment and result in higher taxes.
Who contacts the utilities companies before construction? Conyers
Construction will contact the utility companies well in advance of work commencing.
What will occur with my existing landscape? Conyers
Construction will endeavor to minimize the impact to your home and yard. The
homeowner should keep in mind that this is a major construction project and
the potential exists for some damage. Please discuss this issue with
your Conyers Construction representative to point out any potential issues.
What about the cleanup and disposal of the scrap materials? Conyers
Construction will dispose of these materials as a part of the normal construction
process.
How soon should I treat my wood? The time
to apply a wood finish is as soon as possible upon completion of
the project.
